Our Board of Trustees

The Oakwood Cemetery Association conducted the dedication ceremony for the Trustee's Memorial Garden in recognition and appreciation of many years of dedicated and effective service by the members of the Board of Trustees. Plaques were installed on the stone wall next to the pump house near the cemetery entrance recognizing the trustees who served from 1885 to present. Street signs were installed on the seven streets in the cemetery using the family names of those families who contributed so much to the founding and development of the cemetery.

We are pleased to announce that in August of 2017 our newest plaque was added (above) with a list of current board members.

Oakwood Cemetery is proud to have served the residents of the Washington DC metropolitan area for more than 200 years. We care equally for all people regardless of nationality, status, or beliefs.

While we are a community cemetery, we do not require that one be a resident of Falls Church to purchase a space or to rest in our care. We promise to keep our cemetery beautiful and peaceful and invite you to visit
